Program aims to protect endangered Ohio turtles

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Wildlife Services is partnering with the Geauga Park District in Munson Township, Ohio, in an effort to trap raccoons that threaten to wipe out endangered turtles living at the Rookery site. Federal experts say the raccoons, a well as skunks and opossums that are trapped, will be euthanized in accordance with AVMA guidelines.
