Retail sales in Europe dip 0.1% in February

European retailers saw an unexpected drop in sales in February as energy costs soared, prompting consumers to rein in spending. Sales had risen 0.2% in January and then dipped 0.1% in February, according to the Eurostat, the European Union's statistics office. Economists had expected a slight gain.
