Schools use early intervention, teacher training to address autism

Schools in the Grass Valley, Calif., area have worked to improve education for students with autism through early intervention for children and specialized training for teachers. The Nevada County Infant Program allows many children with autism to be educated in inclusion settings, while area educators are provided with ongoing education for teachers, therapists and administrators on how to best work with children who have the disorder.
