Individuals associated with disability advocacy are recognized

Two individuals with ties to the disability community are among those nominated for Time Magazine's annual "Time 100" list of influential "leaders, artists, innovators, icons and heroes." According to the magazine's website, Jason Katims, the executive producer of NBC's "Parenthood," and Karen Pierce, an autism researcher at the University of California at San Diego, are among the nominees. The final selections will be announced on April 17.
