NextGen could save money for airline industry, report says

Implementing NextGen could save the airline industry hundreds of millions of dollars, according to a report from the think tank Eno Center for Transportation. "Even at a minimum, the savings could be significant," said report author Sakib bin Salam. The report says the industry would have saved $229 million in 2010 if fuel consumption had been reduced by 1%.
