NQF approves quality measures for renal, perinatal care, resource use

The National Quality Forum approved 14 quality measures for perinatal care, 12 for renal care and four related to resource use and costs in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hip and knee replacement, and pneumonia. The resource-use measures, the second set endorsed by NQF this year, will help increase efficiency and reduce waste in the system.
