Parenting practices affect soda consumption in children

Children from higher-income families in Belgium had a 42% lower soda intake than their lower-income counterparts, according to a study in Appetite. Researchers said not offering soda at mealtimes, restricting children from drinking soda whenever they want and not having soda in the house explain the disparity in soda consumption between the income groups.
