N.C. district struggles to fund school resource officers

Officials with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school district in North Carolina and local city leaders are looking for solutions to help pay for school resource officers. In 2010, the school system took more responsibility for paying for the security officers, but this year officials say they are making tough decisions in balancing their budget. "Having to make a choice between a school resource officer or an algebra teacher, that's not in your child's best interest," said school board member Eric Davis.
