Florida schools adopt new computerized grading system

A new software-based grading system being phased in throughout the Miami-Dade district requires teachers to switch from averaging percentage scores for students' assigned work to determine a letter grade to giving equal weight to scores within a letter-grade range. Some teachers believe the switch could affect grades for between 25% and 30% of their students.
