Ex-employee of Morgan Stanley charged with theft of client list

Ronald Peteka, formerly a prime brokerage client service representative with Morgan Stanley, was charged in federal criminal court this past week with conspiring to steal the firm's hedge fund rate charges and client list. Peteka pleaded not guilty. The charges stem from the Ira Chilowitz case in which Chilowitz, an IT consultant, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to steal trade secrets from Morgan Stanley.
