Fed's meeting minutes should answer some key questions

The Federal Reserve made a surprise move three weeks ago by saying it would buy almost $1.2 trillion in long-term government bonds and mortgage-related securities to prop up the economy. On Tuesday, the Fed will release the minutes from its Federal Open Market Committee meeting. Those minutes should explain the shift in the Fed's thinking.
