Mentors help Maryland district cut disciplinary problems in half

The principal at a Prince George's County, Md., school estimates the number of disciplinary referrals and suspensions has been reduced by half since the elementary school started a mentoring program for its students. The school's mentoring partnership with the University of Maryland has been in place since last year.
