Social networks' new home for old pitches

Facebook and other social networks have become a new media target for familiar, but possibly questionable, marketing pitches for miracle weight-loss products, offers to work from home and the chance to get a computer without paying for it, according to an advisory from the Better Business Bureau. "Of course, not all ads on social networking sites are misleading," BBB spokesman Steve Cox said. "The point, though, is that it's important that people always read the fine print carefully before giving their credit card information online."
