Study: Drug might be able to erase unwanted memories

U.S. scientists have found that a single dose of a drug called ZIP erased certain memories in mice by blocking PKMzeta, a molecule that appears to link a network of neurons responsible for a memory. If validated by larger studies, the drug could be used to treat trauma and addiction as well as improve memory and learning, the researchers said.
