Wal-Mart unit launches EMR package in 3 states

Sam's Club, a unit of Wal-Mart Stores, has introduced its electronic medical records solution in Georgia, Illinois and Virginia. The EMR package, which will be marketed in phases, includes hardware from Dell as well as practice-management technology from eClinicalWorks that can be accessed via the Web. The offering, which is aimed at small organizations, could help clinicians "spend less time on administration and more time serving patients," a Dell executive said.
