Will late Qualcomm chips delay LTE rollouts?

Delays in Qualcomm's chip shipments may prevent Verizon Wireless from meeting its goal of launching its 4G Long-Term Evolution network to up to 35 markets by the end of next year, according to an Internet report, which quoted a Deutsch Bank report issued Monday. In other LTE news, Motorola said it conducted extensive LTE tests near the Las Vegas Convention Center at CTIA Wireless 2009® last week; reporters traveling with a test vehicle saw minor disruptions in video data during handoffs between antenna sites.
