Charles Prince III, Citigroup's former chairman and CEO, and Robert Rubin, a former top adviser and director of the company, are scheduled to testify before the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission on Thursday. The reason the bank acquired so many subprime loans is expected to be a key subject of discussion, but New York Times columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin hopes to see the executives explain the reason they were awarded huge financial packages as they left a foundering bank.
