Developers compete to win Las Vegas arena project

Three developers are competing to build a multimillion-dollar sports arena in Las Vegas, with two proposals calling for a 20,000-plus seat stadium on the Strip and one planning for a site south of that area. Proponents, such as Texas-based IDM and developer Gary Goett, say the city needs a high-end stadium to keep major local events from looking elsewhere for accommodations.
