It's OK to compare your company with a competitor

It's perfectly acceptable to mention a competitor by name and discuss your company's advantages over it when you're making a sales pitch, Jill Konrath writes. She recommends taking a matter-of-fact approach so it doesn't sound as though you're attacking the competitor.
