Obese are just as likely to get preventive health care

Researchers who analyzed the care of some 70,000 Medicare or Veterans Affairs patients found those who were obese and overweight were as likely to get preventive tests and procedures as those of normal weights. In addition, overweight and obese Medicare patients with diabetes were more likely to get cholesterol screenings and sugar testing, the study found.
