Rubicon hires digital vets as part of expansion plan

Ben Trenda, vice president of global partnerships at AOL, has joined The Rubicon Project as vice president of U.S. Demand, and Eric Matza, vice president of product management at Experian, has been named Rubicon's director of product marketing. The hires are part of the ad technology firm's bid to create a stronger rival to Google's DoubleClick ad platform. Rubicon also has tapped Allen & Company to seek new financing for potential acquisitions.
