Spike in holiday accidents comes from everyday activities

Pediatric injuries spike during holidays but a study in Pediatrics found that most of the injuries result from everyday activities, such as bike riding and playing. Researchers said 2.9% of injuries during a five-day period around the Fourth of July were linked to fireworks but bicycling accounted for 8.6% of incidents.
