Supreme Court sends another mutual-fund-fee case to lower court

The Supreme Court has sent back to an appeals court a case that alleged Ameriprise Financial charged high mutual-fund fees. The Supreme Court said the lawsuit against Ameriprise was similar to a case it turned back last week. "It's still difficult to be a plaintiff [in lawsuits against mutual-fund companies], but it's easier today than it was seven days ago," William Birdthistle, assistant professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law, said of the two rulings.
