AHA cites downsides of House Republicans' budget proposal

The House Republicans' proposed budget cuts on Medicare and Medicaid programs over the next 10 years would negatively affect health care providers and limit patients' access to medical care, said Richard Umbdenstock, president and CEO of the American Hospital Association. The proposal would cut more than $730 billion from Medicaid and nearly $390 billion from Medicare.
