Alaska Airlines renovations to LAX terminal to add more security lines

Alaska Airlines will spend $271 million to renovate and improve Terminal 6 at Los Angeles International Airport. The renovations will include adding more security checkpoints and a new baggage-screening system. The airline signed a 10-year lease to occupy the terminal. The improvements will be completed in 2012.
