Apple gets a $625.5 million patent ruling thrown out

Apple did not violate software patents belonging to Mirror Worlds, a federal judge ruled Monday, discarding a jury verdict that awarded Mirror Worlds $625.5 million. "Mirror Worlds may have painted an appealing picture for the jury, but it failed to lay a solid foundation sufficient to support important elements it was required to establish under the law," the judge wrote.
