Experts link protein in blood to severity of Alzheimer's

A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that elevated levels of the clusterin protein in the blood play a role in the presence and severity of Alzheimer's disease. "However, increased levels of clusterin do not precede development of AD and therefore are not a potential early marker of subclinical disease," the researchers concluded.
