Ill. county feels economic benefits of wind-farm project

The winds were too strong Monday for the ceremonial installation of the first wind-turbine rotor at E.On Climate and Renewables' wind project in Iroquois County, Ill., but the county is already benefiting from the project, said Ken Barragree, executive director of the Iroquois Development Association. Construction on the 94-turbine Settlers Trail Wind Farm is generating economic activity in the county, Barragree said.
