Livestock board in Ohio has change of heart on veal-calf stalls

The Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board has reversed its earlier decision that allowed veal calves under 10 weeks old to be kept in stalls that don't allow the animals to turn around. The new requirement that such calves be housed in turnaround facilities was approved unanimously by the board and takes effect after 2017.
