NBPTS president will step down in June

The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards is conducting a nationwide search for a new president following Joseph A. Aguerrebere's announcement Tuesday that he will step down from the post. Aguerrebere served as the board's president for eight years, during which the number of National Board Certified Teachers quadrupled. There currently are 91,000 teachers with the credential nationwide.
