Siemens: "Disappointing" renewables unit might curb 2011 growth

Germany's Siemens expects its pace of expansion to "ease" in the second half of the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30. The company cited "disappointing" performance from its renewable-energy unit, in part because of "continued challenges" with its solar unit, in the quarter that ended in March. Improvement for the division is a "must-have," Chief Financial Officer Joe Kaeser said.
