Tech system helps N.J. school encourage student fitness

An elementary school in Montclair, N.J., is using technology to encourage more students to walk or ride their bikes to school. The school's new Boltage system has a solar-powered sensor that reads students' identification tags as they approach school. The system also tracks students' mileage in a database that can be viewed by students and their parents. "We already have more than 75 of our families registered to participate," Principal Adunni Anderson said.
