Voice-synthesizing app offers location-specific vocabulary

Students at the University of Toronto have created a mobile phone app that combines GPS and voice-synthesizing technology to allow individuals who are nonverbal to communicate using computerized speech. Users can create custom dictionaries using the MyVoice app, which utilizes GPS technology to access vocabulary needed for certain locations.
