Alabama lawmakers propose bill to alter immigration law

A proposed Alabama measure seeks to modify several provisions in the state's strict immigration law, including one that requires police to verify the citizenship of people that they stop. The revisions on the statute are aimed at "making it stronger by making it more enforceable," according to Todd Stacy, spokesman for state Rep. Mike Hubbard.
