Report: Tablets are driving swarm of new LTE devices

The number of mobile devices that support Long Term Evolution networks has risen by 76% globally in the past six months with tablets dominating the supply, according to the Global mobile Suppliers Association, which found a total of 347 LTE-based devices on the market. Of those, 64 are smartphones, an increase of 33% since Jan. 1; 53 support LTE-TDD technology.
