Study links vitamin D levels to outcomes for ICU patients

ICU patients who were deficient in vitamin D lived on average 8.9 fewer days compared with those who had sufficient levels, according to Tel Aviv University researchers. The observational study, published in QJM: An International Journal of Medicine, also linked vitamin D levels to white blood cell levels.
