Chevy's European push will start with Michigan soccer match

Manchester United will play a match at the University of Michigan this summer against Real Madrid, with United uniforms sporting the Chevrolet logo, as an opening event for Chevy's $600 million sponsorship of the English soccer team. The seven-year deal aims to create a Chevy fanbase in Europe and Asia-Pacific, where most of United's 659 million fans are located. The deal is "about sharing the power of play and passion for this sport with fans around the world," said Chevy marketing chief Paul Edwards.
