Study looks at patient response to at-home disease monitoring tools

Heart failure patients responded favorably to technologies that enable at-home monitoring of chronic conditions, a small study in Telemedicine and e-Health revealed. However, factors such as mistrust of technology, reliance on their established health care providers and satisfaction with their current routines might be barriers to wider use, researchers noted.
