K12 mired in controversy over contracts in three states

Lawmakers and school officials in Florida, Idaho and Arkansas are squabbling over funding for the school-services company K12, contracted to run online public schools on their behalf. In Idaho, critics are seeking an investigation into K12's hiring of Janet Aikele, at the time both a superintendent and a state legislator, while the state's contract with the company was being negotiated.
