Limited joint mobility among diabetics linked to foot ulcers

Diabetic patients with neuropathy can be susceptible to foot ulcers, due in part to limited joint mobility, according to a new study. The researchers found that, compared to diabetic patients without neuropathy and non-diabetics, diabetic patients with neuropathy had significantly reduced mobility at the ankle and the first metatarsophalangeal joints, and also had higher pressure-time integrals.
