Florida district mulls weather alert service

In the wake of last year's tragic lightning strike, which killed a teenage football player, the Broward school district is mulling a $100,000-a-year subscription to the WeatherBug Weather Risk Management Service. The new system would give all district schools four mobile phones each, which would receive WeatherBug text messages in the event of thunderstorms, tornadoes and other violent weather.
