Imaging3 gets FDA OK to distribute diagnostic imaging device

The FDA has granted Imaging3 approval to distribute its Dominion Vi Scanner, an imaging device that generates 3-D images of the body in real time. The clearance, intended solely for investigational uses, will allow the Burbank, Calif.-based firm "to glean clinical imagery and functionality during the FDA 510(k) approval process," said Dean James, chairman and CEO.
