Science Olympiad tests students' problem-solving skills

Nearly 200 Maryland students tested their engineering, science and creative skills Saturday as they competed in robotic, engineering, medical, forensic and aeronautic competitions. "It teaches them teamwork and communication and gets them out from the video games and TV. They are having a blast -- and this really makes them use their brains," said Bonnie Roynestad, the aunt of one of the participants.
