2 Bracco units face patent suit from Covidien subsidiary

Mallinckrodt, a Covidien unit, has filed a patent-infringement lawsuit in federal court in Wilmington, Del., against two divisions of Italy's Bracco -- E-Z-EM and Acist Medical Systems -- over a device used for injecting chemicals into patients undergoing MRI. Mallinckrodt is requesting unspecified damages, a jury trial and an injunction against the two companies, according to court documents.
