DeParle: Obama, Congress eyeing insurance exchange

The Obama administration is collaborating with Congress to draft a plan for a health insurance exchange that would provide private coverage options and a public plan designed to give small businesses and individuals access to affordable insurance, said Nancy-Ann DeParle, director of the White House Office of Health Reform, at a town hall meeting organized by AARP. DeParle said she was hopeful that health care reform legislation could be completed this year.
