Dispute has Switzerland, U.S. planning to update tax treaty

U.S. and Swiss officials plan to meet soon to update a 12-year-old tax treaty between the countries. The U.S. wants to make it easier to overcome Switzerland's legendary banking-secrecy laws to investigate Americans accused of using Swiss bank accounts to avoid paying U.S. taxes.
