EPA awards $430M wastewater grant to New York state

The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded the largest single grant in the agency's history to New York. The state will receive more than $430 million for wastewater infrastructure as part of the $4 billion earmarked for wastewater projects in the economic-stimulus plan. In the first round of funding, eight New York counties will receive $170 million for water treatment plants and sewer upgrades.
