Intel eyes Latin America for future growth

Chip maker Intel, which already operates facilities in Costa Rica, Argentina and Mexico, said it plans to invest heavily in broadband education programs in rural and underdeveloped parts of Latin America. "There are many people in rural areas who do not have [Internet] access, so there are big business opportunities in the region," said John Davies, the company's vice president of marketing.
