Ariz. district to charge tuition for full-day kindergarten

Officials in Arizona's Gilbert district say they plan to charge tuition for full-day kindergarten and layoff as many as 47 kindergarten teachers in an effort to cut costs. However, critics warned that parents might choose to enroll their students in neighboring districts that offer free schooling or in charter schools.
