China's 1st offshore wind farm in Yangtze River delta

China plans to bring its first offshore wind farm online in the Yangtze River delta near Shanghai. Chinese turbine manufacturer Sinovel installed the 102-megawatt array in tidal flats near China's eastern seaboard. By 2020, China plans to invest $100 billion for 30,000 megawatts in offshore wind farms.
